Use of information

The editors of Poelier.nl only use the personal data of visitors for the purposes for which they were provided by the visitors.

Cookies

As soon as someone visits this website, a Cookie is saved in his computer. We only use this Cookie as a ‘fingerprint’ through which we can see how often someone visits this site. Internet browsers generally offer users the possibility of accepting or refusing Cookies. We compile and file the following information of our relations:

  • Data as mentioned above, compiled by Google Analytics
  • The type of browser and operating system used by the visitor
  • The visitor’s top level domain name (.nl, .com, .org, .gov., etc.)
  • The internet address of the referencing site (e.g. the site visited by the user before this one)
  • The IP address of the visitor’s server (an IP address is a number that is unique to the machine via which a user is connected to the internet: this is generally one of the machines of the Internet Service Provider the user is subscribed to)


The data we compile is EXCLUSIVELY used for:

  • Statistic system management analyses 
  • The improvement of the website’s content
  • E-mail and address information


We only compile address information and e-mail addresses of individual visitors if they send us an e-mail message or complete an e-mail form (newsletter subscription). We only use this information for the purposes for which the visitor has provided it. This information may also be added to a mailing list. This is only done, however, if the visitor has requested this himself. In this case we also use this information for seeking direct contact with these visitors concerning new publications, promotions, etc. Visitors can request to be removed from this mailing list at any time.

Providing information to third parties

We do NOT provide personal information to a third party without the EXPLICIT PERMISSION of the individual visitor, who is always informed about this PER CASE. We guarantee that personal information will never be provided to other bodies, organisations, persons or authorities.

The removal of information

We will ensure that the personal information of our systems is removed as soon as it is no longer required (except for in the case of archiving).

Safety

We always use standard encrypting techniques if visitor information is sent to and from the web server. We have taken as many safety measures as possible with our physical facilities (web server, etc.) to protect our visitors against loss, misuse and unwanted adaptations of their personal information as is compiled via the website.
